In that sense, Netflix animated serieses have the exact opposite problem to Marvel Netflix serieses. Those always go on for too long and have to make up stupid filler.
Show in general is fine and I want to keep watching. Only real issues I have are:
1) Animation, they just went too far with the low framerate
2) humour, too many characters quipping too often and a lot of them don't really land. Could've had one or two more serious characters. As it stands, it's kind of hilarious the way the bad guy is surrounded by goofy happy-go-lucky quipmeisters. It's just slightly too much.
3) The beginning. Spending 3 epsiodes on such a simple thing like elfs attacking a castle made for a pretty slow start, honestly. And that's despite them getting the exposition dump out of the way right away. I feel like they could've started things sooner. Once the beginning is out of the way, I feel like the show starts going a lot smoother.
I'll definetly keep watching. It's nice to see a decent fantasy cartoon again. It's nice to see something away from "Calarts" designs, even if this is choppily 3D animated.
Well. See you next year or whatever.
