Assuming you're not too young to remember his campaign, what were the biggest controversies surrounding him? As I remember it Obama had
He's a secret Muslim
He has a radical Christian Pastor
He was secretly from Kenya
He was just some community organizer (Everyone for got he was a senator for some reason)
Some right wing equivalent of Punk'd tricked some of the Acorn people he used to work with into making it look like they supported pimps.
Half of it was straight up lies and the other half didn't really have to do with him personally.
Now take Trump, a man whose biggest claim to fame in the political landscape before his presidential run was screaming for weeks that Obama was a secret Muslim, a man who was suspected of draft dodging going out of his way to attack a Vietnam POW, a man who banged a porn star while married to his pregnant wife, a man who his constantly trying to spark some sort of culture war and engages in the pettiest name calling. And remember, Donald Trump already had a reputation as an egotistical money grubbing celebrity who was already being mocked before he went into politics.
They're not equal in terms of actions or history and between the two of them Trump has the more noticeable/controversial/comical actions so he gets made fun of the most and the only reason people try to claim they are equal is because they were too young to be around for the rise of Obama or they just get their feelings hurt by people making fun of Trump.
