>>102748678It was good. Something I think a LOT of people don't get about Adventure Time is the big theme it took on as the series progressed: it's all about subtle growth.
It's a fucking D&D campaign. All the characters grew very slowly through the whole series in different ways. The show got blatent with it in Stakes with the Everything Stays song basically spelling it out for everyone.
Everything stays, but it still changes. Finn didn't seem to do much, but his actions and the recognition he got from PB at the end speaks volumes about how he's grown throughout the series. He went from this ball of righteous fury wanting to stomp evil to being a rational, adult hero that knows when it's time for punching and when a war is unnecessary.
Meanwhile, everyone else in Ooo has also grown and changed. Marceline went from a prankster that didn't let anyone in to being emotionally open. PB who was just a controlling and really selfish princess came to understand when to let things go. Simon is now free of his curse, but burdened with a new one as he searches for Golbetty.
The world didn't end, Finn didn't win any girl or become a god or anything. They had a huge adventure and went back to their regular lives, but with noticeable changes in their views and actions.
I wanna see where they go with things in the comic now, and what kind of fan theories people come up with for how we go from modern Ooo to Shermy & Beth's Ooo.
