I personally know someone from los angeles, as in real life friends, and they've said essentially the same thing as every other leaker. Though he did say Finn and Jake were in the epilogue, but it wasn't anything other than Finn and Jake being in their treehouse with everyone while they were watching a movie. It wasn't anything like "Finn is epic hero" or "Jake dies on the way back to his home planet.", it's in the present before anything changes with them if it ever does.

I already saw it. I count fast but I'm sure it was 5 seconds. Like a [beat]'s worth of time. You can tell it was done in a way to let the audience react before moving onto the next scene, it wasn't quick by any means.

Man, this show and the way it progressed its a warning to anyone making any sort of toon in the future about how NOT to end a story.

Even SJ had a an acceptable, if not very good, ending. But this one? It became exactly everything people criticize about modern animation, it only needed CalArts art and everything would have been exactly as those threads in /co/.

I'm surprised they didn't cut the name down to Adventure Time after it was clear Finn and Jake weren't anything special. They did a similar, more minor removal with the title cards cutting down "Adventure Time with Finn and Jake presents", but really having Finn and Jake be in the intro and title feels like false advertising when in the finale, which is supposed to show you what really matters and what doesn't, they have as much of a role as any given secondary character prior.

Without Mordecai and Rigby, not only would the big bad not have been defeated, time would have reset and everyone reverted back to Season 1, they played a fucking integral part in the finale because if it wasn't for them, Pops wouldn't have been able to do anything other than what was always done before. You do know the issue with AT isn't that they simply dedicated time to side characters, it's that they let those side characters do way more than the main heroes? RS never billed Mordecai and Rigby as big adventure heroes, AT set up Finn and Jake, Finn especially, as eventually becoming big damn heroes, instead they don't do anything heroic. No one in RS was really a hero the whole time so it's not that big of an insult when someone became one. Besides, Mordecai and Rigby had a big hand in the finale.
