Garnet's voice is fucking fine. She's at her best when she doesn't talk much anyway. Steven's voice is the one that gets worse as it goes on. I still miss how he sounded in season 1.

I agree I enjoyed seeing him mature, but part of me does wish when Steven fucked up and did stupid kid things from time to time. There was a stretch in the show where Steven was basically just jesus incarnate and could do nothing wrong. He's boring when he's just going around perfectly solving peoples problems. It's gotten better recently though which I'm happy about.

I just really think his voice is sort of off. He sounds younger and higher pitched than he did at the beginning of the show.

Anyone ever had a SU dream? I just had one last night. Steven was locked up in his quadrant of Homeworld, but an Aquamarine was granted audience to meet with "Pink Diamond". She seemed wistful, as if she knew Pink Diamond before, but she was also relatively accepting of Steven as being distinct but similar. After she leaves Steven falls asleep, but his dreamscape shows a weird top-down matrix of cells, each one with a Steven sleeping on his back. Our Steven's cell door was open. I don't remember much after that though. My impression as I was dreaming was that these were clones that White Diamond had made of Steven somehow, recognizing the potential of "Stevens". I assume that these clones were formed around different gems to test the effects of organic integration on different varieties. But nothing like this will ever be in the series.

how? Literally what was the solution in that situation? Does he pull another magic power out of his ass and not get captured by one of Homeworld's best? Wouldnt that only escalate the conflict and make Homeworld throw a lot more resources at dealing with the Rose Quartz problem?
Granted he dove into it with no fucking plan other than throwing himself on the mercy of the court. which was dumb. But there were no good options where he didnt either A) push Homeworld to try bigger and bigger hammers to pound the nail that is 'Rose Quartz' or B) endangers himself and others

He doesn't use his healing spit because that's for healing wounds and cracks, NOT restoring HP, which are an abstract video game concept that can be thought of as "the will and energy to keep fighting", which is why an ability like Encourage or a fun rock song can restore it.

No one gets anything worse than knocked out for a bit in the game, so there's no reason for him to use his spit.

The Crystal Gems know where the Zoo is. If they had asked nicely I'm sure that they could have asked Lapis to fly them there in the Barn.
