>>102242636This isn't a good show.
It had the potential to be one but the writing and animation has been funded with spare change since episode 1.
For a show with a lot of fighting it would look a hell of a lot better if the animation had a sense of weight, depth and timing. Not to mention look a little more detailed than notebook scribbles. Fucking Chalkzone had richer designs.
The writing is also corny and subpar. Take the episode "nothing is real" where K.O. is taught by a mysterious stranger that his world is fake. No hilarious moments like 1+1 = Ed, no twist where it's a scheme by a reality-warping villain, no mystery to the plot because the episode's title spells it out for the audience. It's another wasted premise in a show of wasted premises.
The episode where monotone turtle girl tests K.O.'s body to its limit was also cringeworthy. They cram in a bunch of wink-wink-nod-nod references to Dexter's Laboratory and make it so obvious that it's no longer a treat to get the reference. It just makes me wish I was watching that show instead.
To conclude, I have not seen anything in the show as clever or pretty as an episode of Spongebob Squarepants and I don't expect that to change anytime soon.
