This is from a story I'm writing for my friends. Please be gentil.
Nerdy engineer who is a star at work and writes pulp fiction under an alias. He was rich when he was a kid, then he wasn't. He lost most of his close family, went to life for a few years in his teens with his godmother (who's a literal witch of the forest), and now lives in a boat in his native city. He comes from a family of gov sanctioned superheros like the batfam, but he wasn't until recently, when he uncovers a complot in said gov, and starts going rogue vigilante, looking for going unnoticed, with a bunch of friends.
Said friends include: a working class chick with ant-man powers (and her unpowered little sister, who is a lawyer student), a detective who officially acts as a liaison with the superhero community and the Police (one of his distant cousins), a performer (his surviving uncle) who is an actual magician with a flaming sword and a gift for electricity magic (he's also kind of inmortal, and works as a thief for hire) and an human earth dragon who has psychometry, is an onironaut and works as a part time archeologist / antiquarian (he's also the little brother of the policeman, from a different father. It's... complicated. Also, he doesn't breath fire: he just knows things).
Our hero doesn't have notable powers, but he does have one: he can connect with the earth (earth based, like his dragon-friend), and know stuff or make grow and witter plants, if the place has a healthy environment. Because his city is a shithole, his powers are almost non existent.
Oh! And he has teal coloured hair and is gay because why not, and because I don't want to my friends to ship him and the lead female (the chick with Ant-Man powers. She's for the dragon).
