And it also abuses too much of fourth wall breaks. Sometimes it makes for some nice meta episodes like the one when Garfield fires all the support cast and then goes on by doing every role by himself, but most of the time its just done to have the show authors praise themselves. Do you remember when Teen Titans Go was advertised as "Your favourite TV show" and everyone was mad? At least it was just an advertisement. In The Garfield Show a good chunk of episodes features Garfield casually saying things like "You're watching your favourite cartoon" or "This is the best cartoon ever made and everybody loves it"
