I dunno if the show is actually tactful about it or if it's just this person's autism leaking, but more often than not characters who have illnesses or physical disabilities resonate more with kids than "m-muh feminist role models".
I could totally picture a kid being inspired by seeing the main lead being adventurous and athletic despite being asmathic.
