>>102092635Literally almost all of Season 6 is spent on Homeworld (and Outer Space generally) dealing with crazy Deep Lore shit. At one particular climax they have everyone together again (including Lars and the Off-Colors, and Bismuth, Lapis, Peridot), and during this fight Lapidot Fusion is revealed, with implication that they've fused before offscreen (in the time the main cast has been away).
And she is a totally insane apex of sociopathic egotism who is obsessed with Steven and makes her understanding of Steven as Hers absolutely clear, revealing beyond any doubt that both Lapis and Peridot individually have VERY strong feelings for him. This is just played for awkward laughs in this first appearance, but the second the deep lore arc is over (in the Season 6 finale which is the triumphant return to Earth) she actually attempts to 'elope' with him (kidnapping him), but he's not resisting and instead trying to talk it out with her. In turn she is trying to talk Steven into fusing.
She ultimately ends up forcibly de-fused (by Steven pulling some uncharacteristically tricky shit at a key moment of opportunity provided by the other Gems), with Steven, Lapis, and Peridot winding up close together, Lapis and Peridot stunned and defeated. After a beat of confusion Peridot turns away in shame/horror, but Lapis rushes in for OP pic before being dragged off by the others.
