>>101963605In episode 6 (Oscar & Hedgehog's Melody), Oscar is prompted to sing a song while HH plays the piano. The song he sings is a song he wrote for HH on her 10th birthday. The song goes "You're ten! You're ten! We're best friends~ I'm ten too~". Then HH says immediately afterwards, "Maybe this song is a bit too 10th birthday specific." So, at the very least, both Oscar and HH are ten years old.
10 is the lower limit, but how did I come up with the 12 figure? Well, using context clues from another episode (ep 2 "Monster Babies") I will attempt to explain. When Alice confronts the group of monsters who are accompanying Oscar, they all run away from her, leaving Mr. Incelephant behind. She gives him the crocodile tears routine, and he goes to consult the monsters to try and convince them to not to be afraid of Alice and to come to her tea party. Howard says "Monsters are afraid of witches; c'mon honey, you know that" Oscar asks why, and he responds back, "Why are we afraid of witches? They're TEENAGERS with magical powers! They can't be trusted". By Howard directly emphasizing the "teenager" part during his vocal delivery, it implies that the witches being teenagers means they are likely to be "out of control typical teens". The magical powers making matters far worse. There would be little to no reason for Howard to stress the "teenager" part to Oscar, if he too was a teen (in other words 13 or older). In fact, it could even be misinterpreted by Oscar in that scenario as an indirect insult if the dude is saying "they're teenagers, they can't be trusted". So, that's how I came up with the figure of 12 being the upper limit for the two MC's.
