>>101962520>What is up with all of the butthurt people accusing those skeptical of his campaign of being neckbeards? Most of the prolific "skeptical" people seem to have an irrational amount of rage towards butch, largely stemming from the fact that butch promoted oaxis at a church and acknowledged it as something that appeals to christians - his official promotional video only mentions "family friendly" and "changing culture" but doesn't mention religion, which to them clearly means butch is secretly hiding a christian agenda and wants to indoctrinate children.
It feels like they are blinded by the presence of butch's religion in his motivations for wanting something to be family friendly, and they automatically assume that for something to appeal to christians it must be davey and goliath/veggietales tier preachy rather than just a service without any sex or violence. They miss the fact that given how butch says his own shows are christian, his definition of the term means "positive role models and no sex/violence (but comedic injuries are fine)" and not "teaching children bible lessons and how to pray and shit" like they seem to be imagining.
People who are simply just skeptical that butch won't be able to pull it off have merit, but the ones who have uncontrollable rage about muh christianity are worth making fun of since they're clearly blinded by their own pre-existing anti-religious bias
