>>101944898Walt's Mickey is great.
Jim Macdonald must be the guy you called "An elderly man imitating Walt Disney, a guy who was never a professional voice actor"... I hope. The super boring Mickey who can't go two seconds without an embarrassed chuckle. Huh-huh!
Mickey in the Mouse Works and House of Mouse shorts is voiced by Wayne Allwine and is much better than MacDonald, if not as good as Walt.
Bret Iwan in the recent preschool shows is terrible. All over the map, sometimes sounding more like Minnie or even Warners' Sniffles. He can't even act and put the emphasis on the strongest words.
Iwan also voiced a lot of the redubbed, shortened Mickey cartoons for the Disney Channel, listen to Mickey in his redubbed Lonesome Ghosts after the haunted house door falls in ("We're from the Ajax Ghost Exterminating Company") and compare to Walt's.
Chris Diamantopoulos in the new shorts is doing a really good job of imitating Walt and adding his own spin. I really like it.
