Even before the comics started making him look like the movie versions, DC had artists that made him look wildly different. Which do you prefer?

I really like Clay Mann's Joker. But then again everything he does is sexy. I'm not a fan of the hyper-exaggerated features like the extreme pointed chin and nose you see with Bolland and Lee's Hush style Joker. I prefer something like Mann's Joker, Lee's All-Star, Capullo Endgame or Alex Ross Joker which has much more sensible facial proportions and is more in-line with his first appearance from Kane.

I have to agree with you on Mann's work being sexy, and honestly Alex Ross's is probably be my favorite, but there are instances where I think the exaggerated features fit the story.
Also Neal Adam's joker- but the sleek version, not the spikey haired version.

I’ll always be partial to the DCAU version of the Joker, because that was my first exposure to the character, but I love the way Sam Kieth draws him, too. The joker manages to actually look like a deformed freak who regularly gets the shit kicked out of him

Marshall Rodgers, by far. His Joker looks like he could be a (very odd-looking) real person, but his behavior implies he walked out of Tex Avery cartoon, or sees himself as a character in one (which has always been a headcanon of mine).
