I was curious as to who won the whole U-Decide thing; I don't think they announced an official winner. So I went to Comichron and looked up the old sales numbers. These are the totals plus their place on the Diamond charts.
>Captain Marvel #1: 56,819 (#26)
>Marville #1: 26,274
>Marville #1 (Foil Cvr): 27,479
>=53,753 (would be ranked #29)
>Ultimate Adventures: 37,529 (#46)
Even with a foil cover to stack the deck, Marville couldn't outsell Captain Marvel. Ultimate Adventures was Quesada's 'entry' into the contest, which was a shitty Batman ripoff by Ron Zimmerman. Speaking of, Marville sold more than batman this month. Batman. Christ.
>Captain Marvel #2: 34,131 (#50)
>Ultimate Adventures #2: 30,394 (#59)
>Marville #2: 29,172 (#66)
Retailers had to order second issues before the first were released, so fairly standard drops so far. Sold more than several Marvel books including Tangled Web, Soldier X, Spider-Girl, and Black Panther
>Ultimate Adventures #3: 26,844 (#81)
>Captain Marvel #3: 26,244 (#84)
>Marville #3: 22,807 (#99)
I imagine Ultimate Adventures sold decently at first. The Ultimate brand was still very strong, so it bumped up above the others. Even failling behind, Marville still outsold a few Marvel books including Black Panther and Avengers Icons: Vision
>Captain Marvel #4: 32,655 (#58)
>Ultimate Adventures #4: 29,357 (#71)
>Marville #4: 18,523 (#113)
Cap and UA both gain readers while Marville falls even farther. Only outsold one other Marvel book. Eden's Trail, a shitty Chuck Austen book no one remembers and rightfully so.
>Captain Marvel #5: 32,487 (#51)
>Ultimate Adventures #4: 24,944 (#76)
>Marville #5: 18,423 (#107)
Oops, UA was delayed so #4 was resolicited and lost around 5k readers. Marville outsells Killraven, Marvel Double-Shot, and that Eden's Trail thing. Cap holds steady.
