They feel like Spider-Man movies, they have fun stories and action scenes (even if the CGI is dated), awesome villains like Dafoe’s Goblin and Molina’s Doc Ock (Sandman was okay too), they mostly stayed faithful to the Spider-Man mythos with a few changes that didn’t really hurt the movies themselves (organic webbing for example).
The romance subplots can be bothersome but anything bad from them is mostly overshadowed by everything else. Explain to me why Homecoming is better than the first two Raimi films, and I’m asking this as someone who enjoyed Homecoming for what it was. In what way was it overall a better movie than those two that I mentioned?
