>>101751867The things with the diamonds is that you were something unattainable, for example, previously it was obvious that if one day the homeworld wanted to destroy the earth, they could perfectly do it with all the resources they have without effort, with the crystal gems overcome, because even though they believe they "won the war", the sad truth is that they were nothing but the remains of the side that lost, the survivors.
This made the Diamonds something to really be afraid of, in fact something that I love about the first season is how they emphasize the fear that the gems had to homeworld, for example all the fear they had for the first arrival of peridot, this made you feel the weight to everything that happened, and this was what made epic and good things like the end of the first season.
Season two continued this by showing us the horrible things the diamonds did, like the fusion experiments and the cluster, in season 3 they fight with Jasper and we begin to know more about the dark side of Rose, etc.
Now none of that matters, because Steven is Pink Diamond, then everyone is going to solve crying and in the end everyone will be friends.
The series no longer has any villain as such, and is all, What we even have left? An adventure to cure corrupt gems and that ...?
I doubt they will do something interesting with White Diamond
