>>101634259>>101632650Honestly, as someone who was into the show when it began, at this point the mass appeal is shipping, seeing where it's going because you already put time into it, trap marco because it's "totally not gay guys", and people into Star.
It's a shame because it seemed like something that was going to be fun with a girl getting used to Earth and multi-dimensional hijinks, but it mostly got caught up in being about lore and Mewni without properly investing the time to balance it all out.
It's not bad that they went towards that angle, but that they abandoned half the cast, making characters out as pointless or somewhat heartless for doing so, and it's just sort of trippy.
It's not like it's unenjoyable, but looking at it from a whole it's not too hard to raise a few eyebrows, even if you had ended up liking how it started.
