In the way that Jojo takes place in the same world and has some of the same themes and aspects that pop up in highly different settings with different characters and different stories, so too does Grendel.
And Wagner worked with probably the best artists in the industry on it. Allred, Bisley, JHW III, Sale, Kristiansen, Mack, and on and on. All the while the writing remains consistently great.
