Yeah he could've created infinite resources, he could've wished every living being into being altruistic too. His approach of killing half a planet worked for him when he had no stones, he's so blinded in his pursuit that when an approach that seems morally just comes along he doesn't see it because he now has the power to perpetrate his scheme on a mass scale. Asking why he doesn't do X is like asking why the three blind mice don't just see. They can't, they're blind.

power stone too, removing max output limit.

e.g. time stone + space stone = reverse/stop time anywhere in the universe
power stone + time stone = rewind/stop time indefinitely

and so on.

Kind of. There is the thought that by elminating a population to such a degree the survivors will be equipped with the knowledge to be more conservative as they go forward which would not quite happen if resources were doubled.

But ultimately >>101330461 is right. Every villain we've seen in the MCU has had plans that made sense in their own logic, Thanos was just the one that came out with the tone that didn't make him sound like a psychopath or drunken Russian.

You'd think he'd be able to use just the Space and Power stones to enact his plan. I'm still buttmad about how nerfed it got, in GotG Vol. 1 it had the power to destroy planets, in this film Thanos uses it to fire off purple puffs of smoke, as well as a laser beam that couldn't even cut through Iron Man's suit.
