Sort of. They're various rulers or warlords throughout the relatively disunited Decepticon territories. Megatron Sr/Jr and Megatron animated (maybe Megatron the Great? He has a shiny silver helmet and two arm cannons) are sort of local/main, like Kaon/etc. whereas basically the lizard guys are tribals. FUCK I have a dragon BW Megatron too, but I already named some other rando as Cryotek.

I have the plot set out for most of the Predacon states, basically everything that doesn't involve any Megatrons. Magmatron and Deathsaurus are doing well.

Why didn't I think of that? Not sure how to resolve Galvatrons though.

Galvatron II is explicitly some otherworldly shit. But I sort of wanted to play around with timelines (the Quintessons keep resetting the timeline while they figure out how to stop Unicron, later on Scorponok sort of resets it as well) like, I have multiple Megatrons, one Tarn-esque guy, Straxus, and Barricade (a mafia leader, he has like, a tommy gun on his arm).

So I thought that Galvatron could appear at different times, and it's ambiguous who he was in the past, or if that's even consistent - it's just alluded that he got recreated from a powerful warrior. BUT sort of having him as an ancient/faraway king would be p cool as well! I also think I have a spare Galvatron...

I didn't like the name Megatronus because it was like, "oh wow a Prime was named after Megatron and there's no way to explain that adequately". But maybe it'd work for this. A religious king... I think most of the Primes have that taken care of, but a Decepticon-endorsed religion would be interesting as well, I'll have to think about this more.

Use Megastorm only for a G2 Megatron. BW Megatron could be the Bold. Just to throw it out there, you could use the Pious, the Conqueror, and the Cruel, too.

Personally, I'd go creative with Galvatron II and call him Galvatron the Enigma, due to his circumstances. In-story, he might be considered Galvatron the Imposter.

Megastorm is a tank, and his personality is far different than any Megatrons. Having Megastorm be the name of BW Megs would be kind of jarring. Better to use Gigastorm for that, since he's at least a t-rex. Galvatron isn't used as much as a name so BW2 Galvatron should stick with Galvatron instead of getting Gigastorm's name.
It's just weird that the dragon gets the dinosaur name while the actual dinosaur is named after the tank.

Around some energon reservoir/stream, five cities exist, in like a satan star formation, Decepticons on the west, Autobots on the east. Except they're moreso like political parties. The south city' was a hub for mining/resources, but there were disputes over the flow/control of resources, because the primacy dictated things and you don't care about the pope if you're an atheist. So the south city's now ravaged but neutral (think Phezzan from LoGH, even though it's pretty piss-poor). The Decepticons were granted independence but they're on pretty lukewarm terms. The capital cities are at the north whereas the west/east tips are the respective military/science/financial centers...

but Straxus led an armed rebellion from the south mining city and up north, and occupied this old temple. So everyone's freaking out and nobody's sure who he'll attack and whether or not the other cities will back up whom. And they're scrambling for resources, trying to colonize other parts, but it's just Seacons, Predacons, Insecticons, Dino..cons... everywhere. It really is a shame. I hope their designs are utilized in future continuities, at the very least Proteus should because his design is so flashy and elegant. Senator Shockwave also had a nice design but at the very least we got to see him much more.

It wasn't his characterization. I think the others just asked him to do it. I honestly can't remember nor can I understand Japanese very well but what I do remember vividly is Soundwaves deep "Nyaah" and the cat gesture. That mini-series was bizzare, it was like the characters having what's essentially an ooc podcast where the voiceactors say whatever they want but it's still the characters.

I double checked this just to make sure I wasn't crazy. Megatron suggested to Soundwave that he should make cute and moe noises in order to appeal to boys and so Soundwave decided to go for something even further and says "I love you" in a cute voice. Shockwave and Starscream were also saying silly stuff in order to gain fan appeal but from housewives as opposed to boys.

That's why it's wrong. Revolution and First Strike were good, (minus the latest edition and the link with Viisonaries), better that Chaos, Dark Cybertron, Combiner Wars e Titans Return. Rom was great, Micronauts and GI Joe were good, only MASK and Visionaries were bad. It also had Revolutionaries which was great, but I would not quote in the post because it was a Transformers comic.

The characters we've seen so far are pretty much exactly like their G1 counterparts, so I can't call it bad or bland, it's just that it's not something "new", and we're so used to every new show trying some kind of different aesthetic.

But then we got Barricade, who was never a G1 character, and I think he looks pretty good.

If they add more characters who we don't already have a "G1" design in mind for, and they look good, then I'll say the style works fine.

I'm hoping for Bulkhead, Lugnut and Knock Out personally

Not my screenshots by the way. There's also another set of cards that talk about their favorite "moves". That set has pretty much every character revealed so far whereas these height cards only have Windblade, OP, BB, Megatron, Starscream, and Grimlock so far.

I disagree, but ok. I think Rumble was a cool little little fucker. He was a dumb little punk, and he'd work well against Bumblebee as a bully to Bumblebee's "good boy"

Also, I said WASP, not Waspinator. In his first appearance (before he ended up being shit and used for BW fan service) he looked like he was going to be cool

And on the last point, Barricade didn't fit G1 aesthetic, so they hammered him into an Evergreen design. So the fact that Steeljaw or Knock Out don't currently fit is kind of a non-issue, all they have to do is redesign them. It's not hard

Also, I like Rumble and I think he's awesome but he's underwhelming as a nemesis. A smug little cassette with earthquake powers isn't going to be as impressive as Starscream, that and Rumble is dependent on Soundwaves presence, to have Rumble constantly on Bees tail, Soundwave has to be present too.

You know, you have a point because IDW Leozack is literally just a G1 Steeljaw. But
I still stand by my opinion on Rumble, I really just don't think he can rival with Bumblebee. And even though he isn't literally dependent on Soundwave, his popularity is. Most people pin him as Soundwaves cassette, most people even jokingly pin him as one of Soundwaves kids. Pairing up Starscream and Bumblebee as rivals works best because Starscream is extremely popular and so is Bee, both of them are parallels. Bee is the most loyal to Optimus and his faithful sidekick while Starscream is Megatrons most disloyal subject and would rather kick him down the stairs.

I enjoyed it. The stories are hit and miss and honestly some aren't so good. The first 3 issues are rough before Budiansky come in. However, there's a foundation for some really good things and it has good ideas. If you keep reading, you'll even see where some Bay movies plot elements get their inspiration from.

I wouldn't recommend it to someone unless they already liked the franchise and wanted more, though. At least read up to The Smelting Pool!

There is no humanoid robot in G1 which has an animalistic head.

Now, I'm not saying you're wrong either, they COULD do an Evergreen Steeljaw as a robot furry, I'm sure. I'm just explaining why people would assume they'd make Steeljaw's wolf head into a helmet, because that would better gel with the G1 look.

I think the reason its so hard to implement Blaster into relevancy, let alone convince people that he's Soundwaves rival is that a lot of more popular characters can take the role Hasbro wants to push him in. Unlike Soundwave who serves as Megatrons top advisor and intel, Blaster is just kind of there...Optimus doesn't really need him and has other bots covering everything Blaster could do. I guess you could replace one of them with Blaster but it would ignite outrage because it would mean replacing A-listers.
But yeah, they did the radio revolutionary thing in IDW, it was his spotlight actually and he had to crack one of Soundwaves schemes. It never went anywhere after that because he didn't show up again.

Not really. Rewind is pretty much defined by "I love you Domey."

His entire character arc was "getting over Dominus and realizing he wanted Chromedome."

Meanwhile, Chromedome had other parts to his character that could be explored.

Personally, IF they wanted to stick with gaybots in the future, I'd drop Rewind and give Chromedome a new guy to be with who actually has a personality already and ave them be characters outside their love for each other. (I don't have an candidates in mind, but there are dozens to choose from, so it shouldn't be hard.)

Yes. It's not even debatable that they make the most fancontent in this fandom so Rewind being in their favor is a huge plus for him. Do they care about his personality? Well yeah. I wish Sixshot was relevant but I'm not angry that he isn't because he doesn't do anything particularly unique that other more popular Decepticons can't. The only character I really feel bad for is Cosmos because he IS unique and has a role no one else can fill but Hasbro refuses to feature him in anything. IDW is the best treatment he's gotten in years and it's pretty much limited now to him being a cuck for Soundwave.

See, then you fall into the same problem.
Just throwing out random names right now, but you've got Brainstorm, Nightbeat, Trailbreaker, Red Alert, Skids, all these guys with developed personalities, and interests and roles outside of being "gay."

Pair one of them with Chromedome. They can be gay, you can explore their relationship, but both will also have things to do besides each other. With CD/RW, only CD was doing anything outside of his relationship. And I feel that would make a much better dynamic for both people involved

Well, we recently got the Camiens and the Mistress of Flame. I think in worlds were Primus and the Primes exist, there isn't even really a need for religion because they're kind of a fact of the world they live in. Like, in Power of the Primes all the characters believe in Primus and the 13 by default because well, yeah they exist and you can even see Transformer sparks head over to the well of sparks when they die.

Yes,in Bumblebee the movie. Also,what's interesting is that Cyberverse won't have any main human characters. Rescue Bots has a cast of 16+ bots(maybe cons too?) and Cyberverse even more though don't expect them to appear in every episode,it's possible to play like Batman:The Brave and the Bold.

I would be kinda shocked if they went for 2D since they go for 3D just so they don't have to use stock footage. At least that's what they said for Prime and RID since all traditional studios refused to not use stock footage for transformations .

The only thing the writers do on twitter is play around with toys instead of working but they've already worked on the show for an entire year at this point.
