She literally organized the whole thing purely to cheer Dale up, but she is legit just playing the part because that's what a spy novel/movie calls for. If either of the boys actually mentioned how much of a knockout she actually is she'd probably just break character on the spot and tell them to stop goofing around. I haven't seen it in ages but I think Monty even points it out to the audience.
