I've been really happy with everything since season 5. Yeah maybe Pidge could have lost Matt OR her dad, but the emotional weight they put into some of her scenes were great. The civil war among the Galra was fantastic, and this season Lotor finally becoming the BBeG was very satisfying . He truly believed in what he was doing was right - and I love when a character has strong conviction.

Considering Vehicle Voltron is nowhere near as well remembered as LionV I think they can get away with streamlining it. Dairugger has a nice silhouette but is kinda busy in the details. Even when compared to five colored lion limbs.

All the clones in the vats had the appearance of pre-Kerberos Shiro, suggesting they're biological. He also needed food and water to survive in The Journey, and you'd presume the crew did a medical check-up on him when he came back to the castle. He's an artificially created human being, not a machine.

I confess, I'm not confused, more of annoyed at people for getting butthurt and calling it bad writing that Kuron doesn't exist anymore. Who cares about the journy, when it came back it wasn't supposed to have sympathies, they had it being a terrible version of Shiro to cause discomfort for the audience. It tried to get itself and the team killed at that time bomb planet for instance.

And yeah, Greg and Mark are really dry, and have pretty bad senses of humor. They seem really nice though, and their podcasts can be pretty funny when they have really lively guests on their like Neil Kaplan.

Considering that gender role enforcement is felt negatively by both sexes in how they're raised/treated physically or emotionally, i'd consider it pretty fair to parody the ridiculousness of performed femininity, especially since gay men are often demeaned and told they are the equivalent of women for being keen on dick. I think that was more in the sense that Sendak would ultimately be carrying out her plans, just like Zarkon, instead of truly ruling of his own free will.

But I do like the idea of Haggar controlling Sendak. It makes his line to Shiro about being "broken and reformed" all the more poetic.
