>>101073400>I'm almost positive the Neil Adams recolors and shit is because Adams wants it. i don't have a source thoIt's true, but doesn't change anything I said
And yeah they're finally collecting some bronze age Batman. Finally. But why don't they just block collect things in omnibus form? Anyone with sense can see that comics will survive in collected form, no one wants to buy floppies and no one will support that shit forever. There's hundreds of collections waiting to be put together and printed, I have no idea why no one seems to be in charge of it. I only have Marvel as a comparison and they are MASTERS of collecting their stuff. By the time the Epic Collection line is complete you will be able to get nearly every Marvel back issue ever, collected.
>>101073412>Except what you're talking about is a dozen or so CDs.You're looking at it the wrong way. Anything with Beatles on the front will sell. If I'm in charge of The Beatles properties, I'm putting as much shit out as humanly possible. There was a 50th Anniversary stereo re-mix of Sgt. Pepper last year, but why wasn't there one for Revolver the year before, or Rubber Soul before that? Or the White Album this year? Why won't they print money?
>For DC to keep everything in print, that's literally thousands of TPBs. That's a WHOLE lot of inventory to keep up witIf Marvel can do it, DC can do it. These are big corporations, I'm sure they can figure it out. They could literally hire a super-nerd to put them together for them. Fuck me there's more money in putting those collections together than there is half the line of current ongoings.
