>>101060715So does everyone!
Problem is, the phrase "involuntary celebate" doesn't really fit, does it? Since almost NOBODY is. This cuts both ways. To start, the reddit community's complaints about being involuntary celibate are both inaccurate, and counter productive. Some of that is semantic, sure.
How it's inaccurate is self evident. They are celibate by choice, if we're being honest. They could get sex. Call a hooker and get a blowie for 35 bucks. You might get chlamydia, a fine or land in prison, but HEY! You're not a virgin anymore! Isn't that SOOO worth it all? I mean, being a virgin is WAY worse than all those! Why, it's the worst thing in the world! Sarcasm aside - the high pedestal upon which people place getting laid as a man is a bit ridiculous.
However. They're being counterproductive to what's in their best interests. What's in their best interest is to stop letting their lives and identities revolve around on getting laid. It's fucking important as fuck to them and it really REALLY shouldn't be. In some rare instances it becomes a pathological obsession.
But in truth, there is no small amount of social pressure on men to have sex. Which is a part of the biological imperative that's still instinctual.
It's SHAMEFUL in our society to not have had sex. Part of the problem.
Then again, I'm not a fan of reddit in general so they can go screw.
