>>101017224What the fuck, dude? Are you one of the faithful readers who 100% related to Eve?
Park is a bit of a callous jerk, and he doesn't think highly of Eve's aimlessness or her lifestyle or her friends. That's why they broke up, that's how he is. Eve should have remembered that, but instead, she built him up in her head as this true love from her past who knows her like no-one else does because she had issues and idealized the past. It's her own damn fault for not remembering or accepting who he is irl.
They were an item for ages, his grandmother still asks about her, they were part of the same circle of besties. It's not unreasonable to drop her a call to see if she wants to have lunch or whatever, since he's in town for over a week and she wasn't at the mutual friend wedding he maybe thought she would be in. It's 100% on Eve, not Park who hasn't been in touch for fucking years, to estimate whether or not she's in mental shape to see him.
Also, Eve was totally down to fuck as soon as she heard they were gonna meet, arranging for a doctor's appointment so she could get the pill just on the off chance that Park might still be interested, so it's incredibly shitty to blame them having sex only on Park. As if Eve's some infantile child who's not responsible for her own actions, and everyone around her, including people who haven't seen her in literal years, should make decisions for her because they totally know what's best for her better than she does. "Oh, you're an adult, but though we haven't spoken in years I know you better than you do yourself and though you claim you want to have casual sex and are totally fine with it, it's my duty to protect you from yourself and make this decision for you and turn you down". What the fuck? Do you think women are some sort of helpless children who have no agency, or what?
Also it's not the "next day" because they had a quickie at a hotel as soon as they met. They spend maybe 3 hours together, if that.
