Andrew worked with Steven Soundheim, the guy who did music for Meatloaf and stuff, on this particular album, and honestly it carries a lot more of his sound than it does the Mission guys. The girl is Patricia Morrison who is only there because she's pretty; what little music she played was mixed out.
tl;dr Sisters of Mercy are not representative of Goth and Andrew Eldritch is a shithead
