>>100890451I was born I 94 and Ren and Stimpy reruns were on tv every single night when I was a kid. My mom didn’t like the show and never let my brothers and I watch it, so naturally we would secretly watch it every single night right after the Simpsons reruns(another show we’re were “banned” from watching). I think our enjoyment came from the taboo, because I only remember truly enjoying a few elements of it. Stimpy saying crap shocked our young minds, and the “I told you I’d shoot, but you didn’t believe me!” Lyric In the Happy Happy Joy Joy song has stuck with me all these years. I think because it was simply edgier then most cartoons intended for children, it had a lot of impact on me, but the quality wasn’t the greatest in the world. It was the reason I learned that corn is not digestible though. thinking about it now, I remember a lot more from that show than a lot of other shows I watched in my childhood
