it's really really bad, but it also has a weird charm. It has a lot of aspects that no other show even came CLOSE to

nobody else had a main character who got fucked consistently by life, all the authority figures, most of the other kids... and kind of deserved it. In a lot of ways, she was the Mokocchi of her day
No other cartoon would have a girl forced to wear her brother's underwear for lack of clean ones of her own, and then have the class discover that fact.
the real-photographs aspect gave them a unique surreality, tempered by the highly canadian affected silly voices everyone put on
but really, it's not a good show. it's ugly, disgusting, cheap, and just dumb. it reminds me of Ed/Edd/Eddy, which for some reason /co/ likes
