Why did western companies (especially american ones) gave up on 2D animated movies? Is it because 3D ones are easier and faster to be produced? Is it because 3D movies appeal to a wider audience? Is it because the last 2D by Disney and Dreamworks didn't sold as much as the 3D one? Is it all the above?
