Its funny how butthurt the thundercat "fans" are, but the style of this show is somewhat inevitable.

The more mature-ish teen-y reboot was a total flop, but CN has enjoyed massive success with these whimsical "soft" shows like Steven Universe. As long as these kind of shows resinate with their audience it's what CN are going to produce.

If you wanted something more gritty it should have been on adult swim.

SU as a show generally tries for a more grounded atmosphere and is more narratively driven.
OKKO is more comedy driven and fully embraces surreality.
