You do realise a story credit could literally be "Wonder Woman goes to fight Ares in world war one", this would be enough and it's likely just because he came up with a general idea of her backstory to explain why shes wasn't at the black Zero event. Snyder had next to nothing to do with that movie outside of casting Gal and the idea that it was in WW1 and you know it

I adore LOTR, but I just dont see a place for a series in it. Even Silmarillion, with its hundreds of stories crammed in it would not make a good tv series.

Though I find it funny one of the major issues early in LotR's production was studios demanding it be one movie and the big problem with the Hobbit was the studio forcing it into 3.

Pro: Green Lantern has enough material to stand on its own, and has the makings of a great Sci Fi movie series that could very well reboot the entire DC film universe. Possibly could start a new continuity with Shazam if all goes well too.

Con: This is still being run by WB, and they show no sign of abandoning the established DCEU. Moreover, Green Lantern won't be cheap to make.

The problem is that they'll do it with or without him. The exact same thing happened with the Hobbit trilogy, Jackson thought he was done and handed it to Del Toro but Del Toro dropped out and the studio was going to pump out complete shit so Jackson stepped in to try (and fail) to salvage the project.

I wouldn't at all be surprised if Jackson winds up involved with the TV series just because he doesn't want them fucking it up.
