So no doubt he had a keen eye for compositional style, elements of figure drawing, very controlled line styles.
All these little details tie together and come through in a fairly complex way for Peanuts. Of course not saying it makes it impossible to draw, it isn't and wouldn't want to discourage you, just saying it makes things unexpectedly tricky and requires more practice than usual compared to a lot of other toony things.
