>>100366683>>100366820He is talking about this post (sorry I don't know how use Photoshop to cut it in an image so I gonna copy paste it).
I have discovered that all these Black Girl Tokens are part of some kind of policy of CN, they are all similar in almost all their aspects and they are always the romantic interest of another character (often the main character). So that means that these characters don't come from the imagination of an especific writer but a norm of the channel instead.
Something like "Alright Sugar we need a Dark Skinned Token Girl in your show and she must be in a relationship with the hero and she must show many good qualities."
So probably Connie wasn't created by Sugar but indirectly by CN and still Sugar has a preference for Lapis because she is her own character, she is Flame Princess 2.0
I didn't say that Lapis was better... I just said that Lapis is Sugar's creation and probably her preference when it comes to a ship for Steven. But just like Flame Princess, Lapis has many problems when it comes to her personality but in the case of Lapis it was in a big part for Lauren Zuke and her own preferences.
But Connie isn't necessarily a creation of Sugar but she is more likely something that the network put in her story.
P.S. The Same Old World is probably an episode recicled of Adventure Time that was supposed to be between "Hot to touch" and "Fire Unstable" about how Finn found a house to Flame Princess.
I saw many cartoons and it becomes very obvious that all these Dark skinned token girl characters have basically the same personalities and roles, and it's impossible that all these writers came with the same idea when their shows are so different.
There is more... it seems like it was a BIG discussion in that thread.
