What is /co/'s thoughts on Yakkity Yak? This show would air right after Hey Arnold! on Nickelodeon around 2003 - 2004 before moving to Nicktoons Network

Occasionally watched it but never really liked it
The bigger question is who thought it would be a good idea to make an entire cartoon because of one line of a song that no kids who would be watching this would even know about anymore

I mean, Tiny Toon Adventures was airing on Nickelodeon in reruns in 2003 - 2004 as well and that had an episode where they played old music including Yakety Yak

Nick probably shouldn't have promoted its Stateside run with the tag "it's just plain stupid", even if it is true, it probably scared off potential viewers. I'm not even sure if we got all the episodes here.

I vaguely remember the Yak seeming like Heffer, and the thing about Heffer is he was never good for main character material, playing off Rocko or being the focus but by proxy of his family is one thing but being the focus of the show not so much.
So this is like if you ignored that logic.

REAL, ACTUAL FACTS ABOUT THIS SHOW:

I never liked shows without direction and consistent themes. It's something that I see in a lot of those new nick and frederator shorts where they just slap a whole bunch a characters together in a random setting and call it a day.
