>>100368828Personally, I don't blame Jeph for the state of the comic. Good writing and good art takes an amount of effort that isn't trivial, and if you've already got retards from Tumblr shoveling six figures into your pockets as fast as they can, why bother?
I think the worst thing about Jeph's situation is that he fears angering the mob and losing their support so much that they're basically holding him hostage. I think he'd be happier if he hired an artist and writer for QC, kept the lion's share of the Patreon bucks for maintaining the website and owning the IP, and then just threw one of his workers to the wolves whenever they anger the horde.
If Jeph offloaded the comic, then not only would he have to do even less than he does now, but it would be very easy for him to swoop in as the good guy and say "Look, the bad man is gone now, I fired him and hired a replacement." every time the artist happens to draw a woman that's unrealistically attractive or too realistically unattractive.
Plus, there's a chance the comic could actually improve.
