Wondy isn't dumb, she's straightforward and has been raised to see things in a very black and white way. Put a fight in front of her and she will fight it to the death.
If you actually present a situation as a puzzle to be solved she will put everything into solving it, but if you can get a deception strategy past her lie-detector, she behaves in extremely predictable ways.
The weakness probably has some inspiration from Greek myths where characters would often act based on what they thought they knew while someone manipulated them from the start.
It's also exactly how Batman handles his villains - he knows how they think and who they are and plays against their predictable behavior.
