Avengers fans didn't like how being Magneto's daughter basically swallowed Wanda whole in the 2000s. "House of M" made her and Pietro's whole existence revolve around what Magneto wanted, and when she wiped out mutants to spite her daddy, that made her unusable in comics and haunts her to this day.
And then she and PIetro were not allowed to appear in "Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" because they had already been snapped up by "Wolverine & the X-Men" for a story about Magneto's kids. Wanda was originally in many of the stories the Avengers cartoon adapted and she was written out of all of them because up until Feige decided to use her, Marvel considered her more important as "Magneto's daughter" than an Avenger.
It's really not a problem if they just have her do Avengers stuff and occasionally refer to her dad being Magneto, which was the status quo for the first 20+ years of the retcon.
But the "Pretender" shit in X-Men, and Wanda's total absence from comics at a time when she's the most famous superhero in the world, is a reminder of how fucked the character can get by Magneto/mutants if the writers think that's all that matters about her.
