>>117827947>Or hell -- maybe she opens up a flight school as a result. The episode with Dewey and the Money Tree, where Della gives Dewey terrible flying advice, and the Junior Woodchuck episode where Huey & Launchpad both have to teach Della that failure is important to learning actually makes me think this could be a real possibility for Della?
She was very self-centered and arrogant when she was younger; so it would make perfect sense for her character arc to end with her preferring to help others and encourage her students to be the best version of themselves. Her becoming Launchpad's flying mentor and seeing him become a success would have been a great way for her to realize what her true purpose is...if the writers ever bothered to put it in an actual episode.
In addition, if we actually had episodes with Della & Donald interacting, we could see Donald become proud of Della as he watches his sister, who was once so full of herself that she'd steal a rocket, learn to be responsible and take time to really learn more about the boys and the past that she missed. We could actually see Donald starting to trust Della again, which would allow Donald to have more free time so he can spend time with his band and join Scrooge on more adventures. It would be more meaningful than just having Della return and Donald deciding that he doesn't need to be a full-time parent anymore.
