>>90500545Corn, wheat, and apples are all commonly grown crops, so therefore would this have some connection to agriculture in general? Referring back to this post from before,

What could all this symbolism of agriculture and farming relate to? It's worth noting that the Southeastern United States is well known for its reliance on agriculture as a large part of its economy. The South even fought an entire civil war to keep slaves on their farms. During the civil war, the Confederate States of America had no official anthem, but a very popular song sung during the time was "Dixie Land".
The lyrics of Dixie Land are quite concerning if the song is linked to the show. Here is an excerpt of some of the song's lyrics:
"Ole Missus marry "Will the weaver"
Willum was a gay deceiver
Look away! Look away! Look away!
Dixie Land!
But when he put his arm around 'er,
He smiled fierce as a forty pounder,
Look away! Look away! Look away!
Dixie Land!
His face was sharp as a butcher's cleaver
But that did not seem to grieve 'er
Look away! Look away! Look away!
Dixie Land!
Ole Missus acted the foolish part
And died for a man that broke her heart
Look away! Look away! Look away!
Dixie Land!"
These lyrics have many parallels to relationship of Star and Marco. Star had a crush on Marco, but Marco ended up with Jackie. Could this possibly be foreshadowing that Star might die in the future? (She died for a man who broke her heart.)
To further the connection to the Confederacy, the states of Louisiana and Mississippi, as we referenced earlier, were historically a part of the Confederacy.
