Tom is a great character. He's being developed really nicely, slowly making his way towards becoming a better person. It's a shame so many people want to insist he's thoroughly terrible and can never develop because the first introduction was so negative.
I've seen the same thing happen in the SU fandom with Jasper though, so I shouldn't be surprised. Some people just want to think that character development should never happen and characters should forever stay in the roles they played when first introduced

Honest question, if those lyrics and that song would have been given to Star and Marco, would you think it romantic? Or would you go "ha ha yes they talk of love and breaking hearts and they call each other angel, but it's totes not romantic at all, they're just good friends"?
