>>84476182she isn't anything like wade but she's bluntly spawned in his image. Comedy book, character that knows they're fictional. She isn't the same as wade but she's spawned on Rule 63 logic. Thankfully she's her own character no but she could've easily just been female version of wade.
and no it's not tautalogical to say a comic with good art and writing is good. Or maybe it is, that's not what I was saying. What I was saying is you can sag in the writing, or you can sag in the art, but you can't sag in both. Hellcat and SG have bad art and bad writing. If you improve either one of those they might go from 'awful' to 'flawed but worth reading.'
and again continuity isn't really an issue with comics unless you get caught up in this weird feedback loop of events that the big two are so insistent on continuing.
Go look at your average comic. manga, euro, indie, whatever. You don't see constant reboots, revisions, and so on. Peter was married to MJ how long? How Tony, he's been a cyborg, mental upload, transhuman wonder, and so on. But marvel keeps shuffling their fucking stories around because they don't want to make new IPs since that means sharing the money with the artists and writers.
Enter guys like bendis who talk about writing spiderman as a life long dream and then complain about continuity. These books are published on a tight deadline, being original shouldn't be a concern for you. Original isn't necessarily good.
making a new character is easier yes, but that excuse really doesn't apply to SG or HC.
