>>59768RWSS threads were being targeted by mods (/pol/ was calling authorities en masse denouncing artplaces and other venues where the "leftcucks" gather as fire hazards to shut them down) under the premise of raiding. One of them (Modcat) issued a warning (not a ban) to one user telling him to stop, telling him (among other things) that it was putting LGBT persons in danger (something like that, I don't have the screencap). /pol started screaming and crying all over the place saying that a "leftypol mod who's also a mod on 4chan was banning people for no reason except being right wing". He was fired by rapeape because his political bias was interfering with his mod duties.
What modcat did was wrong and stupid, and should he had done his job without preaching he would probably still be on the mod team. One could argue that firing him was a little to much (considering that 4chan has like 10 mods or something, so it's not like they could afford to lose more personel) but he deserved to be punished and if that's his punishment then so be it.
Now, what we have here is a mod that wrote a column about how all the /pol/shit threads on /tv/ in a good light, revealing that he has a political bias and that it is also interfering with his duties (allowing off-topic /pol/ threads on /tv/ because he agrees with them) and if OP's pic is anything to go by, he is also doing this for economic gain. Shouldn't he be fired too? If not, then why was modcat fired instead of demoted?
