>>24623>CynicismI take a pretty cynical view of politics, yeah.
>Foreigners can't just want to live here, they want to erode our cultureThere are plenty examples of foreigners openly and proudly doing just that, historical and contemporary. Muslim advocacy groups want to make US culture less intolerant of Islam, for example. And why wouldn't they? If I was a recent Muslim immigrant in the US, I would feel pretty threatened right now.
>they all secretly hate us and want to conquer usNo. But everyone ultimately wants to get ahead. Or, enough do that it causes tension and conflict.
>people can't just believe in equalityYou can have true perfect equality, maybe, if you're willing to sacrifice freedom for it. Leftists are quite right when they say that AnCap leads to inequality. That's the price of absolute freedom. There is no Single Ultimate Correct political philosophy that guarantees absolute equality and freedom for everyone, not with the technology we have now. It's all about trade-offs.
