Electron orbitals try to keep as far as possible from each other. If you give them one more dimension, it becomes easier. Thus, double and triple bonds would become rarer.
And protons would have an easier time sticking together, so the elements with a huge number of them are more stable and thus common.

No we would get completely new matter due to the fact that we would get way more variety in equivalent states which would change orbits and energy levels completely.
