>>14296345Reading up on it, yes, an Indian 'artist' named Anish Kapoor has licensed the rights from the patent holder for artistic uses of Vanta black, so no one else can use it in artistic stuff without paying him. Amusingly, another artist (Stuart Semple) put together a team to create their own super black paint (Currently on Black 3.0) that anyone can buy, which while not quite as black as vantablack, is much cheaper and non toxic. Anyone can buy this Black 3.0 paint, except for Anish Kapoor, who they excluded in the purchase agreement.
