I have 3 weeks to restudy groups and rings before a second abstract algebra class (which will focus on fields and modules), is Dummit and Foote my best option?

Given that it's your second course why not move on to Jacobson's tomes? Algebra I & II are excellent. The first one doesn't require category theory from what I remember.

Probably not that book was published in 2021. Is Lawrence your professor or something kek

Anyway I recommend Lang's Undergraduate book. Short and to the point with relatively routine problems. Perfect for review.

Just read Lang's three undergraduate books and do all the problems. Once you've mastered basics of analysis and algebra you'll be better equipped to plan out the rest of your studies. You are underestimating how long this might take and you are planning years in advance. You are just wasting time looking up books instead of learning.
