japanese kanjis are nothing like chinese hanzis, nor the reading is similar, nor the meaning is the same.

Besides kanjis are half the work and some need hiragana suffixes and word endings.

Not possible, the differences are too minute. After learning to read about 500 to 1000 of them you will have to learn to write them, the stroke order etc. just to be able to distinguish between similar ones reliably. The other cue for telling them apart is to read them in the context of a sentence, but your plan also doesn’t cover that at all.

this is not entirely true. Originally far eastern writing was meant to lower the language barrier between traders and many of the older characters share their meanings to this day.
Kanji On-readings, which are the readings used in multi kanji-words, are practically loan words from chinese as well. On the other hand, kanji kun-readings for separate characters, which often utilize hiragana as okurigana, have more national origin.

Let's not make this too easy. English is 80% germanic. You can't form a comprehensible sentence without germanic words. English also makes no sense, you have no idea how to pronounce a word unless you heard it before (even french is better).

It's quite short (1 and a half pages) and it builds character, you should try reading it every day and see what happens, most likely you will memorize it and start to see connections and ideas you didn't before
