Interesting, is this specifically for Soviet-era spacerace designs? I find that a lot of rocket designs end up being so influenced by supply, current innovation, and basic physics that a lot of designs end up just being "the most efficient thing we can do with what we currently have on Earth".

Everything I've read on Soviet era technology indicates that the vast majority of tech was modified from European and American tech.

I don't think extra steps would be necessary. Also did they steal enough to replicate kerolox engines or is it going to be good old hydrazine? In the latter case they won't even need to RUD the booster with pieces raining on the reed huts, just "landing" it on them would suffice for getting that 100% authentic CCP rocketry feel.

Why would you 3d print an entire rocket? The engines, yeah, perhaps there is some interesting use of 3d printing that but for most of the rest, 3d printing doesn't seem to do much for you.
