If objects are attracted to each other via their centers of gravity, wouldnt that mean that eventually all objects in the universe would be together, even potentially creating an imense blackhole that consumed everything?

No, first an object can be fast enough to effectively escape the gravitational field of another object -> escape velocity.
Second, space in general is expanding which weakens the gravitational pull.

the distance between all points in the universe is getting exponentially bigger as time goes on. Another way to think about it is every object in space is shrinking exponentially. objects can get so small and far away from eachother that their gravity isnt strong enough to kick into effect.

Assuming the force exerted by gravity actually travels at the speed of light - probably not. This would imply that everything is still being attracted to the "edge" of the (observable) universe. This is foundational to my idea of dark energy.
